BC 1- Victorian 1840-50 Bodice

Ball gown bodice with black satin and black and gold fringe. This low cut bodice was once part of a ball gown ensemble. It is lined with white cotton. It is boned with whalebone at the 3 seams in the front. It closes in the back with lacing. The original lacing string is included. At the very top of the bodice there is one hook and eye closure. The trim of the bodice is in black and gold and in excellent condition. 

The gold and black trim on the bodice really adds a dramatic touch to the effect of this beautiful bodice. Bodices and gowns 

Condition: Very good, Excellent on the outside and inside with no damage. On the inside there is one very light stain near the upper left hand side near the center bone. Towards the bottom right on top of the center bone there is a more visible spot. These discolorations on the inside of the bodice do not come through to the front. There is no visible damage or staining under the arms.
