FP1:1820's Original Fashion Plate #1
This fashion plate originates from early
1800's. Probably around 1819-1830. It might have been part of a German fashion
book or magazine (Wiener Moden) (Vienna Fashions) at one time.
This print is numbered with Roman numerals
XXXVII on the bottom left hand side and Wiener Moden is
written in the middle with nice cursive writing and the
date 1824 with number 109 above it.
Condition:
light foxing, the print is mounted inside a paper frame.
some prints are attached with old mounting tape. The
print itself is a parchment color (beige/tan) The backing
paper is a light blue in color. There is a very light
stain on the lower right hand side. Size:
Prints alone:5 by 8 1/2 inches. With paper frame: About 8
1/2 by 10 inches.

This fashion plate originates from early
1800's. Probably around 1819-1830. It might have been part of a German fashion
book or magazine (Wiener Moden) (Vienna Fashions) at one time. I
have heard that in the 1800's that they called these
types of hats were called "Kiss me if you
can" hats. This print is numbered
with Roman numerals XVIII on the bottom left hand side
and Wiener Moden is written in the middle with nice
cursive writing and the date 1819 with number 54 above
it. Condition:
light foxing, the print is mounted inside a paper frame.

print itself is a parchment color (beige/tan) The
backing paper is a light blue in color. Size:
